The Chinese-German Society of Medicine (CDGM) is a scientific society under the administration of the Chinese Ministry of Health. The society was founded by the initiative of the famous Chinese surgeon Professor Qiu Fazu, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the well-known pathologist Professor Wu Zhongbi on 20 November 1984. It was approved and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of People’s Republic of China on 31 August 1991. The office of the CDGM is located in the Tongji Hospital, which is affiliated to the Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
The aim of the CDGM is to promote cooperation and exchange of experience between Chinese and German medical scientists, to advance the development of medical science and healthcare in China and Germany, and to strengthen Sino-German friendship.
